Tori Jeross, LMSW

Tori enjoys working with clients who are amidst life transitions, varying from leaving home, starting a new job, or becoming a parent. Tori offers supportive, compassionate care that is person-centered: this means that she looks not only at how you present, but what’s underneath. She finds that her passion lies in bridging communication gaps, building self-compassion, and getting to the root of what’s causing internal stress.

With Tori, you will begin session with curiosity and leave with skills that empower and support you to continue onward.

Specialties

Tori finds that many wounds and discomfort in life are rooted in attachment-based dynamics. This origin begins in childhood, is reinforced in adolescence, and is permeated through adult life. While uncovering attachment needs, Tori looks at a solution-focused approach to shift patterns in interpersonal relationships. Utilizing DBT, SFT, and a trauma-focused approach, Tori works to build awareness and create long-lasting growth, for the Self, within partnership, and into parenthood.

Dialect Behavioral Therapy

Dialect Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a highly sought after approach rooted in mindfulness and self awareness. Being highly skill-focused, Tori will help you lean into learning how to tolerate distress, improve emotional response and regulation, and live life fully engaged.

Couples

Couples therapy with Tori provides a safe, supportive space to navigate conflict, build communication, and shift patterns of behavior. Integrating DBT into couples work allows for each partner to turn within and assess their role in the relationship dynamic. Tori welcomes all types of couples and will meet the relationship where it is at in order to provide effective growth.

Young Adults

Tori finds a lot of her passion lies in supporting those transitioning out of adolescence and into adulthood. Life transitions and challenges in transitions begin when we are young and can ultimately affect future life changes. Early intervention with evidence-based approaches and compassionate, supportive care allow for laying a framework on how to make life transitions with grace.
